Anno 1404 Production Chains

The Old World. The amount of Buildings given is in proportion to the amount of input given, so that there is no shortage or excess in the chain. For an overview of the profitability of Production Chains dealing in consumer goods, see this page. Farmers Timber. Anno 1800's production chains are crucial, but there's more you need to know. The backbone of any Anno 1800 city its production chains. Most buildings you construct will form part of a chain that.

Optimal City Layout

Old World

Now this layout is designed to wor up to tier 3, so in the beginning there are obviously gonna be some gaps. You may fill them or leave them empty as you please.
I think this image is quite self explanatory, so I’m not gonna add anything more to this.

You may also wish to employ this second layout, which has the upside of housing almost double the amount of people of the first one. The downsides on the other hand are the fact that there is no space for ornamental buildings, and that the first layout is heaps more modular than this one:

New World

The observant ones among you probably already noticed, that there is an image missing, which is actually due to the fact that its not there. So, coming soon I guess.

Lumber & Wood

Major havoc emulator game. This is for raw lumber:

And this consequently for refined lumber:

You obviously need both. And it’s actually two of the first and only one of the second one for complete efficiency.

Swipe up, down and all around to send you vibrant paintball rolling through the maze as you splash, splat and sploosh color all over the clean white maze. Roller splat review Complete the levels of each puzzle by covering every corridor and corner with beautifully bright paint.

Work Clothes

Yep, that’s it.

Sausage

With this one you have two options avaliable. This one:

And this one. Just be mindfull that this one needs at least a medium level Warehouse:

Soap

Sails

Schnapps

Again, several options. The first two neet a medium level Warhouse tho:

Bread

Anno 1404 Production Chains

Again several options, but the last one actually needs a fully upgraded Warehouse to function:

Canned Food

It’s merely missing an iron mine:

Best Modular Area for Many Productions

You can fit any of these productions in here as you see fit:

Productoin Chains

Just a general summary of all protuction chains.

The digit sum of each year is always 9 (e. 1+4+0+4 = 9). I have always had problems in my first Island per game. I use to build some of the production things I need in the island, specially the hard ones which require many materials to build. I do it partly because it is helpful at the beginning and sometimes my island has rare resources. Moreover, moving all the building materials to a remote island can be hard.I'm planning on expanding my first big populated island to have enough space for a Palace and some more districts. The thing is: I will move most of the production buildings (I'll keep the wine chain, I love the fields around the Palace).

Is it viable not to move the factories? Keep the end-production buildings such as the Bakery in the case of bread (i don't know the name of most buildings in English, hope you understand what i mean) and supply the island with raw materials instead of 'consumer products'. Is it a good idea and does it work well in the game?

I like how some of those buildings look and want to put them into the city, so I'm waiting for opinions. You can certainly break up production chains between islands.

Sometimes you even have to, although I don't rememember 1404's production chains very clearly now. But I do remember that in 1701, you need Chocolate, which needs Cocoa from a southern island and Honey from a northern island. So, it is technically possible. And you can play the game however you like. The reason most people prefer to keep industry away from the main island is because you need all the space you can get for certain conditions, such as settling X Nobles - or whatever the highest tier population is. However, if you are already building a Palace, which takes up a lot of space, I don't think that's the case for you.So, really, there's nothing wrong with not minimaxing everything. Build however you like.
