Originally posted by:It isn't just the blog, the 'old' Cube World from the picroma website is done too, and it seems a lot of twitter posts, too. Almost as is they want to remove all what points of the version and ideas before this release. Sad thing (and wrong in my opinion). What do you mean the old cubeworld is gone? You mean that it doesn't have any information on It makes sense though, it's all outdated information and is no longer needed.
It's not like he's trying to hide anything, it's just not needed anymore. And which twitter posts are you specifically mentioning? I see a lot of the old twitter screenshots still. One is self destructive and ones depression can be silent and come in waves.Wollay deleting his blog is more worrying than saying its just a phase because it means he's isolating himself now and keeping it inJust because you As someone who was about to end doesnt mean you know if their depression is real or notAs someone who tried to kill themselves more than once. Or, the DDoS attack triggered what was already building up and he's continued to struggle to get control of his depression since.
He's actively been working on developing Plasma, the graphics tool, so it's not like he solely worked on Cube World during those 6 years. It's also likely he has a real job, as the complete lack of income from either Cube World or Plasma would make it difficult to do otherwise. If Wollay was planning on scamming everyone, he wouldn't have continued to post of twitter occasionally, keeping everyone's attention despite not selling the game anymore. That makes absolutely no sense from a scamming point of view. You either take the money and leave or you keep selling the game and never update it. You don't take the sale of the game down, continue to keep people's attention with twitter posts and then update it 6 years later. Why talk about his depression now? Likely because of people like you, who shame people for mental illness and come up with contrived assumptions of who he is and what his motives are based on nothing but your own fantasies. And then after finally getting up the courage to tell people, he gets tons of negative comments like yours and so he deleted the blog. But I get it, your story is the better read, it's very Hollywood.
Too bad it's completely outside the realm of reality. Originally posted by:Or, the DDoS attack triggered what was already building up and he's continued to struggle to get control of his depression since.

If this one dev burns out, all development comes to a halt.So knowing the odds of him getting burned out or needing a break again is important info for potential buyers. I'd like to know if this game has any chance of getting some patches the coming months before I invest 20 bucks.
